Meet our School Leader

Michelle Marquez was born in Athens, Greece and spent her childhood in 3 different states and 3 different countries. She attended Stanford University and earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Management Science and Engineering with a focus in finance and risk analysis as well as a Master in Public Policy with a concentration in education policy. She was a founding director of operations at North Star Academy in New Jersey. After leading the operational side of the school for four years, she transitioned to instruction. She taught Geometry, AP Statistics, AP Calculus AB and AP Calculus BC. After working at North Star Academy for eight years, she moved back home to California as Assistant Principal of Instruction at KIPP Esperanza. She is excited to be the Founding School Leader and partner with familes to build the community of KIPP Stockton High School.


AP for All:
We provide a college prep education. We offer multiple AP courses for college credit and all sophomores take at least 1 AP class!


College Success:
Students who attend both KIPP middle and high schools are nearly 2x as likely to graduate from a four-year college.*


Student Support:
All students have access to quality mental health services including youth therapy, community services, and family counseling.
